This project was brought to the Buffalo Creek Watershed District by the McLeod County SWCD (Soil and Water Conservation District).
There is a high bank eroding along the property of Corrine Bergerson. The MPCA designed the restoration of this site. They are using natural materials such as rock, logs, and root wads to divert the current and protect the banks of the Buffalo Creek.
This project was started in early December, 2007 and suspended a week later due to high water. Main stream work completed in summer of 2008. Willow stakes were planted in November, 2008, completing this project.
